So SUCCESS! I ordered a refurbished 2nd generation Android phone [the
T-Mobile MyTouch or HTC Magic] on Ebay -- a phone that has been unlocked and
ROOTED. I had no idea what "rooted" meant, but the Ebay seller [with a
thousand perfect scores] described it as meaning that you can ues the phone

An android phone would be exactly what you are looking for. They have
been dubbed "google phones" because of how nicely they sync with all
things google oriented (including calendar). But the no data plan part
of it, make it kinda dicey. The updates are all done OTA.

My solution was concocted with the thought that the NHL will never go
back to a tie. But, for the record, I have absolutely nothing wrong with
a tie game. Some games just deserve to end in a die.
And this whole boo hoo bullshit about "I paid my hard earned money, and

of Toronto. I breath fresh air and drink fresh water right from the Lake

I depise ties with a passion. Nothing is worst than putting out big bucks
to go to the games and walk out of the building with nothing resloved.
The league has studied the issue and found out the fans overwhelmingly

What is broken, is the players bones. Ribs, concussions, broken legs, ankles,
shoulders. Career ending, career threatening injuries, all for the sake of a
race for the puck which very seldom negates the icing. It's stupid and they

Ah, I'm not referring to Carter vs Gagne or anything specific, Rick.
Just a general statement.
It is pretty obvious to me that the GM and coach of a team know far
more about players than us fans. That doesnt mean they are always
right - but it does mean that if something is blindingly obvious to
us, it is also blindingly obvious to them.

How about you play the OT the way it is now, 4-4 for 10 mins. If after
that the score is still tied, you go by the S.O.G. grand total (OT
included). Would certainly open up for quite the shooting gallery at the
end of OT if it were close!

I for one will be a bit saddened not to see Simone Gagne take to the ice
this season to defend their Eastern Conference championship. I have been
watching the re-runs of the Boston series on the NHL Network this past
weekend. Gags scoring that game 7 go ahead goal late in the 3rd was so
f-ing clutch, and quite the defining moment. Sad to see him gone.

Sorry, I meant they didn't have a 1st or 2nd round pick in 2010, not
2011. But the Flames may be the only team in the NHL that's traded
away more draft picks the last 2-3 seasons than the Leafs and Flyers.

The problem with this is that Calgary has almost nothing in its farm
system, and only their first-rounder next year. They didn't have a
first- or second round pick in 2011, and they've already traded their
2nd and 3rd rounders for 2011.
Calgary is over the cap and needs to make a deal. But why trade away
