I live up in the rich neighborhood, the Garden District. (I snuck in

lot of people out with their kids. It's calm and sober at this end of
town. Plus, the parades start here so the guys on the floats aren't

It was as if they all had a revelation after JvR scored: hey, we don't
suck, and Brodeur is human. The first half of this one filled me with
the mental image of Holmgren loading a revolver and pointing it at his
head. Then the malaise of 2.5 games cleared. Funny how it coincided
with Giroux and JvR seeing time together and Carter being reunited

How sweet was it to see the Devils blow a 2-0 lead to the Flyers?
I guess if the Flyers are going to win, it all starts with me not being

Pronger laying himself down on the ice FULLY to block that power play shot
near the end (and, man, Pronger's face was like inches from the Devils'

What was the result of that hit? I just watched it on YouTube. If you
look at the 36 second mark, you can see Carter's upper arm/elbow hit
Salmela's shoulder & ribs and it sends him spinning. Jones kept saying
he hit him high, but that looked like a clean hit to me. I'm just
curious if they hit Carter with a huge penalty because of the result?

Powe: 0.20 goals/game --> 20 goal pace
Carcillo: 0.154 goals/game --> 13 goal pace
Gagne's not much ahead of Carcillo.
6 goals in 32 games is a sub-20 goal season pace. Not only is it
"not spectacular", it fucking sucks. Forget assists - that is not
too important a stat for a player like Gagne, who is more of a goal

Pre-Homer and not-so-recent, but Seidenberg has turned into a pretty solid
